Get well-educated about candidates but not from the traditional sources…that’s a start. The Wikipedia approach to understanding who a person is may not be accurate. Ask yourself, “Does this person possess the intellect, the knowledge and the skills needed to lead?” If so, get behind them and help them.
The energy that a student can provide a campaign can be extraordinary. But don’t expect everyone you support to be perfect because they won’t be – they can’t be. I cannot express enough for people who are young, who are first-time voters, to get involved in the political process.
