The Making of a Christian Mind
Dr. Joshua McMullen, Regent University College of Arts & Sciences
The Greeks and the enlightenment thinkers really saw humans as rational animals – our highest function was that we could use our mind to think rationally. I think Saint Augustine had a better and more biblical answer which is, we’re not just rational but we’re worshiping and we’re created to worship. So I think when Paul says that we’re given an enlightened mind as Christians, I think that we have a mind that’s been reoriented back to God.
